Saccly

After we visited the „SOS Kannerduerf“ in Mersch in order to present our charity organisation and its goals, we got a request from its subsidiary Saccly Erpeldange. The „SOS Kannerduerf“ is a social institution which helps children with a really difficult family background.

We‘ve been asked if we could take a group of 6 adolescents and their 3 educators on a trip to Berlin.

With great pleasure we accompanied them from the 7.-11. August to the german capital. In order to secure a maximum of pleasure and excitement we established an exciting schedule in advance.

On of the very first big surprises which we planned was the internationally known show of the Blue Men Group. Another very special experience was a so called „blind dinner“, where we ate in complete darkness and have been served by blind people. This aims to make people more aware and give them a little sense what it is like to be blind.

The usual city sightseeing tour by bus and by foot was of course on our schedule and so we showed them the most known monuments like the Brandenburger Tor, the Siegessäule and many more. We made sure the adolescents learned a few things of the deep historical impact the city had.

A small trip to the „Movie Park“ a few kilometer outside of Berlin was an opportunity we didn‘t want to miss out.

Along the many cultural activities, we left enough place for free time in order to let everybody take matters in their own hands and discover the city‘s secrets and go on a shopping tour.

All in all our 5 day trip was a really nice experience and we are happy to give the adolescents a few exciting experiences.
