Rafael Portugal

Rafael is a young boy at the age of 5, who suffers from a rare genetical disease called progeria. It‘s main characteristic is the rapid aging of the body which gives Rafael a far smaller life expectancy than the average person.

Due to this disease he had to take a knee surgery and found himself dependent on a wheelchair afterwards.

His parents planned to take him on vacation to Portugal where he could visit his family. Unfortunately, his situation isn‘t the easiest to travel and absolutely not fit for his parents plan to travel by car due to financial limits.

Therefore Rafael’s social worker from ALAN, an organization which looks after people with rare diseases, asked us if there would be a chance to help him and his family out by providing them a flight to Portugal and a renting car.

As Rafael always dreamed of flying on a plane, we were more than happy to make his wish come true and send him to his grandparents, so they could enjoy some quality time!
